When you become an Ebay affiliate in the Ebay Partner Network, actually getting HTML affiliate code to paste into your website is not always an easy task. I know it took me a few weeks to work out what links I wanted and how to use them.
How to create a link with the Ebay Partner Network link generator?
1. Sign into your Ebay Partner Network account.
2. Click on the Tools tab. See the screen shot below.

3. Click on the Link Generator link as show above.
4. The Link Generator will appear with options for you to choose.

What is Artisteer?

I like to design Wordpress Themes with Artisteer and sometimes customizing the theme is a little bit different to other themes I have worked with. In this tutorial I am going to show you how to remove page links from the top navigation bar and leave only the ones you want. How to remove a page link from the top navigation menu in an Artisteer Wordpress theme?
Most of the time, when removing a page link from the navigation bar you have to edit the header.php file. However with an Artisteer Wordpress Theme you need to edit the functions.php file. That is the only major difference. You will find the same or similar code to edit in there. Changing the header.php file in an Artisteer theme will not effect the top nav menu.
1. Click on the Appearance menu. Then choose Editor.
2. On the far right there will be a menu of pages with .php on the end. Find the Theme functions page (functions.php) and click on it.
3. In the Functions.php file look for anything that says list_pages under the heading of /* horizontal menu */
4. See the screen shot below. Click on it to enlarge.
5. Where I have circled the code it had this there: wp_list_pages(‘title_li=&sort_column=menu_order’);
6. I replaced it with: wp_list_pages(‘exclude=3962,4061,4125,3899&title_li=&sort_column=menu_order’);
The numbers that I added in (3962,4061,4125,3899) are page numbers that I want to exclude from the menu. Please watch the video tutorial below to see more details on how to do this.

How do I make a background image for my Youtube Video channel?
My Youtube video channel background is 1598×1636 and is 214KB. Of course yours does not have to be this exact size. You can experiment by trying different sizes. It is also a JPG file. This is very easy to create from scratch. You can open Mspaint and start making your background.
How to create a new background image for Youtube in Ms paint?
1. Open Ms Paint. Usually in the start menu under accessories.
2. Click on File at the top. Then choose new.
3. Then choose image from the top menu.
4. From the drop down menu choose Attributes.
5. Fill in the details for your Youtube background image. 1598 high x 1636 wide.
6. Press OK.
7. Now you have the size of your background image. Edit an play with it, adding your company name and so on.
8. Save your image background as a JPG file.

You can spend hours searching for the right Wordpress theme for your website which can be a huge waste of time. Most people do this when they are first starting out with building websites. Eventually you will realize that it is better to just stick to a few select themes for your multiple websites. Now you can choose to use a free theme or a paid theme, which ever one suits you.

Free Wordpress themes are great when you are first starting out and are trying not to spend too much money on your website. However have you heard the saying “you get what you pay for”? Well I am not saying free themes are not good, because they are, you can definitely find some great themes. The problem is you have to find it first. I usually go to google search and type in “free Wordpress themes” and some great websites come up.

Although there are some really great free themes out there, when you start to get multiple websites it is nice to have a top theme. A paid theme with great features that suit you. If you stick to a small number of themes or even just one, you will become an expert at customizing that theme, and therefore saving time. Many of the paid themes have amazing options inside the dashboard that make it extremely easy to customize. For example you could be using the same theme for all your websites but they can look completely different because of the options available.

The Socrates theme is a plain theme with amazing functions. You can customize it to make it look amazing, create squeeze pages and sales pages in seconds.
When you are building a Wordpress Website, or any website for that matter, you should always include Google analytics for tracking statistics. Google analytics will let you know where your visitors came from, how long they stayed, and where they went when they left your website. Basically you can find out all the information you need to know about your website. Google analytics will even tell you stats about your AdSense ads, helping you optimize them for the best results.
Some Wordpress themes have a space to paste the Google analytics code into, however if your theme does not then it is very easy to do manually. This video below shows you where to find the Google analytics code and how to embed it into a Wordpress website.. I take the easy way out and paste the code into a text widget in the sidebar. It doesn’t matter where you put the google code because it will be invisible anyway.
Researching a niche or even finding a niche topic for your new website can be a daunting task. Most people do not even know what a niche is and therefore cannot understand why it is important at all. A niche can be applied to any business and we have been using this idea for as long as I can remember. I was talking to a local store owner recently who has a dying business in a small town due to big supermarkets moving into town. I mentioned that she should develop a niche and distinguish her business from the others. The look on her faced was a puzzled one. It was like I was speaking another language. What I meant is for her to have something that the other businesses didn’t have, therefore giving the customers a good reason to come to her store.
Remember when the local petrol station would have a person serving the petrol. I would go there before going to the petrol station that only had self service available. And what about the deli where they give your child a cheerio to chew on while you were shopping. The child always wanted to go back to that store. Anyway that’s not exactly what a niche is in the internet world but I think it is similar.
A niche in website world is a topic of expertise that your website focuses on. And the niches get smaller as you dig into them deeper. So for example the subject of golf is a huge and profitable niche however everyone knows it and there is so much competition. Therefore the average jo blo has to go for a specialized are. So say we dig deeper into the niche.
First we type Golf into google search and see that we have 392,000,000 competing results.
Now that is impossible to get into so I tried golf swing. Still in the golf niche but smaller with 5,800,000 results.
5 million results is still too much competition. I am not a golf fan so I have no idea what to write in next. Therefore I am going to look at the bottom of the page to see the related searches for the term I had already typed in.
Golf swing analysis sounds good. Lets see what results it shows.
Anyway I could go on forever, however in the video below I actually go through all of these words and show you why they are not really that good to get into. After that I find a possible niche that might be good and go to buy a domain name on namecheap.com. Everyone is different on how they research a possible niche and this is probably not the best way, but it has worked for me. I guarantee that if you just get in and do something you will find your own way to do things.
